4D radar – drone detection radar
MADDOS RADAR is a combat-proven SHORAD/C-UAS system. It performs well against low signature targets (RCS, Velocity, Altitude). The system features automatic self-calibration and can operate on the move (OTM) while mounted on a tactical vehicle or vessel.
MADDOS Radar provides features that allow operational flexibility against different threats of different sizes and operating with different velocities without changing hardware. The AESA flexible beamforming provides predefined search beams, dynamic tracking beams, improved detection performance by forming multiple overlapping search beams, and Track-While-Search (TWS) capability.
The technology behind MADDOS Radar’s 4D radar system is designed to deliver superior surveillance capabilities by leveraging range and angular resolution, as well as velocity measurement, which is derived from the Doppler shift of the returned signals. This 4D radar technology is crucial in environments where high-resolution detection, tracking, and classification of objects are required across large volumes of space, making it highly effective for defense, security, and aviation applications.
Integrating Machine Learning algorithms enhances the radar’s capability to swiftly distinguish between different types of aerial objects. This feature ensures that MADDOS Radar can rapidly adapt to emerging or unforeseen aerial threats, providing a robust defense mechanism. Such drone detection radar systems advancements place MADDOS at the forefront of modern defense technology, ensuring readiness against conventional and unconventional aerial threats.
